How to use a "Care Of" Client in Documents
Updated over a year ago

For Invoices, Quotations and Reports, a "Care Of" Client can be added to ensure correspondence is redirected to them instead of the primary Client. This operates in the same fashion as typical Care Of Clients would in the postal mailing system.

When "Add 'Care Of' Client" is clicked, the ability to select another Client will appear. Once you select a 'Care Of' Client, they will become the point of main correspondence when sending documents.

Usage with Client Groups

Care of clients work best in conjunction with Client Groups.

Example: the main client of a document could be John Smith (tenant), while the care of client could be Barry Plant (Real Estate) where Barry Plant will be in charge of receiving and managing this invoice on behalf of John Smith.

If the main client and care of client both exist in the same group, the "Care of" field will automatically prepopulate with suggested primary clients from John Smith's linked group.

In this scenario, when sending an invoice, it will also display all possible emails you can forward the document to, including the main client and care of client.
