How to use Inventory Markups
How to use Inventory Markups
Updated this week

When creating an Inventory Item, you will have the option to set a markup percentage:

This percentage will be used to markup the selling unit price when this item is used on accounting documents.

A markup percentage can also be applied to a Client:

Mira follows a hierarchy when choosing which markup percentage to apply. If you set a markup percentage on a Client, all inventory markup percentages will not be applied. Instead, the Client markup percentage will be applied

Example:

  • A Client called John Smith has an Inventory Markup of 10%

  • John Smith is assigned to an Appointment where there is a default line item called Advion Ant Gel

  • Advion Ant Gel has a base unit price of $54 and a Markup of 20%

  • When an Invoice is created, a 10% Markup will be applied to the line item, as the Client markup takes priority in the Markup Hierarchy
