Connecting your Xero account will allow you to sync your financial data between both systems. Xero will sync the following financial modules:
Clients
Client Groups
Invoices
Quotations
Inventory Items
Payments
Some financial modules sync differently to others. Read about the known Xero caveats here
Navigating and Connecting Xero
Login and navigate to Settings > Accounting Provider
Click on Xero
You will be presented with information on each module, please read these carefully to understand any limitations
Click on Connect to Xero
You will be presented with a separate login window to authenticate your Xero account. If this does not appear, please ensure you do not have popups blocked.
Log in to Xero, including any 2-factor-authentication. Review the data being accessed and click Allow Access
Once access is allowed, select your organisation and click Save
Depending on whether you have connected an accounting provider previously, you will be presented with different information in the confirmation step. Read the information then click Continue
If you are connecting for the first time, no further action will be taken
If you are reconnecting to a previously disconnected provider, data will remain unaltered and your connection will be restored
If you would like all tax and ledger settings to be reset, you may click the checkbox before continuing
If you are connecting for the first time, but were previously connected to another provider, current ledgers and tax rates will be removed from various modules and replaced with new ledgers and tax rates from the newly connected provider to allow for a seamless transition
Select your preferred tax rates and ledger accounts. More information on how to choose these correctly is found here. Once all have been set, click Save
Click Start New Full Sync to begin syncing data between systems
