Learn about the capabilities of the Drawing Tool here:

The Drawing Tool is available across all of your devices, including both our Mira Android and iOS apps, as well as the web-based Mira system for your laptop/PC.

Toolbox

The toolbox (left hand menu) contains all your drawing tools including:

  1. Selection Tool: selecting shapes and objects on the canvas

  2. Panning Tool: moving the canvas beyond the screen edges

  3. Rectangle/Square Tool: adding resizable rectangles and squares to the canvas

  4. Circle/Oval Tool: adding resizable circles and ovals to the canvas

  5. Polygon/Triangle Tool: adding resizable polygons to the canvas

  6. Line Tool: for drawing lines on the canvas

  7. Curve Tool (Assets only): creating lines with curvature around each point

  8. Arrow Tool: for drawing lines with a range of arrow heads

  9. Brush Tool: creating freeform scribbles on the canvas

  10. Text Tool: for adding text to the drawing

  11. Image Tool: for adding photos, satellite images, house plans or any other image to the drawing.

Asset Library

The asset library consist of reusable components used to quickly construct drawings.

The assets are typically icons and larger templates.

The icons/symbols can be stamped on a drawing or placed individually.

The templates can be configured to be for a specific job with included legend and basic elements such as compass, etc.

Object Settings

Object Settings allow you to manipulate a shape or object which has been placed on the canvas.

The visible settings are dependent on the object being edited and can include the following functions:

  1. Duplicate a shape or line

  2. Delete a shape

  3. Flip a shape or line vertically or horizontally

  4. Rotate a shape or line

  5. Position - change the shape's layer position, group or ungroup elements, Lock position

  6. Change colour of elements

  7. Change the line style

  8. Change line thickness

  9. Change opacity

  10. Change the style of arrow heads

  11. Change text style

Right-click Context Menu

Only available on laptop/PC with a mouse.

The right-click context menu is accessed by right clicking the mouse on the drawing canvas.

The following options are available depending on the operation you are doing on the canvas and the type of object you are working with.

Canvas Settings

Canvas settings allow the setup of the default characteristics of the drawing canvas.

This can include adjusting the ruler and the size of the canvas.

Hamburger Menu

The hamburger menu at the top left of the Drawing Tool allows you to get help, exit the tool and save your changes.

Saving your drawing

The save dialog contains top-level details about the drawing you've created.

Drawings must have a title and a unique reference number.

For assets, this dialog is a bit different and contains settings for changing the interaction when placing an asset onto a drawing.
