Welcome to our second major release for 2022.

This release comes as a huge milestone for our team.

We are proud to announce Mira. A new name and renewed focus on making it easy to manage your small business.

We will be marketing Mira more broadly to other appointment-based sectors as we move closer towards becoming a sustainable company.

While we won’t be called Pest Register, we will ensure that the Pest Register focus is retained within Mira, as Pest Control is our passion.

Over the next few releases, we will slowly be introducing the "Mira" branding into various spots around the system. Eventually, Mira will replace the Pest Register brand entirely.


Notices

  • Invoice & Payment Summary page has been removed and instead converted to a dashboard widget

  • "Unspecified" inventory has been removed. Inventory may now only be "Product" or "Service". Existing "Unspecified" inventory have been reclassified as "Service"

  • Navigation menu has been updated with a new layout.

    • Licences has been moved to Settings

    • Inventory has been split up into "Products" and "Services"'

  • Ledger Accounts and Tax Rates have been removed. These should now only be managed through an accounting provider.

  • Accounting syncs have been rewritten. We require all existing users to reauthenticate their accounting provider and complete the new required setup steps in order to continue syncing

  • Manual payments no longer need a linked ledger account. Instead, we now provide you with a list of payment options to categorise how the payments were made (Cash, Credit Card, etc)


Bug Fixes

  • Lots of tweaks have been made to the accounting sync process to avoid errors such as payment duplicates and items not syncing. More details below.

  • When creating an appointment, the dialog would close before saving which made it difficult to determine if the appointment was actually being created

  • Some phone numbers would not be clickable on iOS

  • Photos on generated reports could look blurry in some circumstances

  • Horizontal scrollbar on Staff Schedule would not stick to the bottom of the page

  • Screen would jitter on some pages containing lists of items at certain screen resolutions

  • Misc. small bugs have been fixed when paying for an invoice via a payment provider

  • Fixed an issue where historical reports would fail to upload


Miscellaneous Improvements

  • Many small tweaks to the UI for further consistency

  • When creating new reports, the "Last Used" category will now contain all revisions of the last used templates

  • Creating/editing addresses has been simplified. All addresses are now created as a "manual address" automatically, and we'll continue to let you prefill the address using Google autocomplete suggestions if any exist.

  • Added ability to filter reports by status on the "Find Reports" list

  • Added the ability to clone images when cloning a report (image titles and descriptions are global, so if you change the title of an image, it will also change for all other reports which use this image)


Myob is here!

This release brings an integration with Myob Business, bringing it in-line with Xero and QuickBooks!

The Myob sync includes:

  • Clients will be synced between both system

  • Inventory will be synced between both systems

  • Invoices created in Pest Register will be synced to Myob

  • Quotations created in Pest Register will be synced to Myob

Please note that we only sync with the NEW version of Myob Business (Lite & Pro). If you try to connect an unsupported version of Myob, you will be notified that the connection is not supported.

Myob are slowly converting customers over to the new version, however to speed up the process, you must contact Myob to have your account converted.

Redesigned Invoices

Invoices have been refreshed with a new interface

  • New interface for creating and managing invoices

  • Ability to have a separate billing and service address for your invoices

  • Generated invoice PDF has been refreshed with a cleaner designer

  • Line items can now contain multiple lines of descriptive text

  • Line items now have a simple GST checkbox instead of needing to select a tax rate

  • Existing invoices can now be cloned onto a new invoice

  • If a payment for an invoice was made via a connected payment provider, it will be marked as such in the payment dialog


Manage Quotations

This release allows you to create and manage quotations alongside invoices.

Quotations are permission-based. Make sure you give necessary staff the new permissions to manage quotations for your business.

  • Quotations use a similar interface to invoices for consistency

  • Existing quotations can be cloned to new quotations

  • Existing quotations can be copied to a new invoice

  • Quotations can contain a separate billing and service address

  • Quotations can be accepted by the client via a direct link or via Client Connect

    • This can be turned off per-quotation, or by default in Settings > System Defaults

  • Quotations can be accepted and rejected by your company

  • Quotations will display in Client, Client Group and Appointment timelines


Updated Settings

Settings has been updated with a simplified UI on desktop and a new category for all "Integrations"

  • Editing Appointment Types has been updated with a cleaner new interface

    • Default Line Items also match the updated invoice/quotation interface including the option to specify how GST is calculated on the line

    • Appointment Types can now be searched within Settings

  • Managing Licences is now located in Settings

  • System Defaults contains new settings:

    • Toggle how GST should be managed within your company

    • Disable automatically allowing clients to accept quotations

    • Disable automatically prefilling appointment description onto new quotations

    • Disable sending reports alongside linked invoices in the one email

Updated Inventory Management

  • Inventory has been split into "Products" and "Services" in the navigation menu

  • Added a new "Rodenticides" category when creating new inventory

  • Inventory can now specify how GST should be allocated to the item's unit price


Redesigned Dashboard

This update includes a redesigned dashboard with new/improved widgets.

  • Many improvements to dashboard usability including a clean new design

  • Ability to edit dashboard layout on iPad-sized screens

  • Dashboard layout lets you drop widgets into a full-sized container at the bottom of the page

  • "Report & Invoice Trends" widget is now restricted to the company administrator

  • "Outstanding Balances" widget now lets you see the individual outstanding invoices and allows you to filter over invoices for certain time periods

  • "Weather" widget has been redesigned with a new slim design and the ability to see weather forecasts

  • New "Recent Quotations" widget

  • "Your Routine" has been renamed to "Tasks" and includes the option of creating a quotation

  • "Client Referrals" widget now has the option to filter over referrals for certain time periods

  • New "Invoice & Payment Summary" widget (previously a separate page)

  • New "Revenue" widget for seeing company revenue for every month over different years. Includes ability to filter over invoices generated by specific staff members


Managing Accounting/Payment Providers

Syncing with an accounting provider is now much more simplified:

  • When connecting with a provider:

    • We now prompt you with any notices about items which cannot be synced

    • You'll be stepped through a number of items including:

      • Ability to reset/cleanse the links to items between the provider and Pest Register

      • Set any Ledgers and Tax Rates to use on Pest Register. The options you select here are set globally and cannot be managed individually anymore

      • Peform an initial full sync to make sure all items between Pest Register and the provider are linked correctly

  • If your connection with the provider expires, you'll be prompted to reauthenticate instead of completely disconnecting

  • You can now easily switch between different accounting platforms (such as Xero to QuickBooks and vice-versa)

  • When performing a sync, you'll be able to see any errors which occurred and rectify the issues

    • You can also see a history of all your full and individual item syncs

    • Many bugs have been fixed related to issues such as payment duplication problems and items not displaying sync errors

  • You can now sync clients, invoices, quotations and inventory individually

    • Each item will display errors in its respective dialog if the sync failed

    • Items will be highlighted in red if they have had an error during an accounting sync

Connecting with a payment provider is now easier too:

  • When connecting with Square, you'll be prompted to select a "Square Location" before payments can be accepted


Updated Client Connect

  • Client Connect has a simplified new interface with separate categories for invoices, quotations and reports

  • Users can see any quotations they've been sent and they may accept these quotations

  • Viewing an individual report, invoice or quotation will display the company's eCard details in the dialog
