Creating and managing external calendar feeds in Mira

Learn how to connect Mira to RFC compatible calendars

Updated over a week ago

Mira now allows you to display your appointments as a feed in any external calendar which supports the standardised RFC format (including Microsoft Outlook, Google and Apple calendars).

This will allow you to see your upcoming appointments within Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

The appointments are read-only on the external calendar. They must still be modified through Mira.

Any Mira accounts with the set permission can create their own individualised calendar feeds (per account).

Mira appointments will display in the external calendar with any of the specified filters.

Please note that not all appointments will display. The feed will only fetch appointments from the specified days behind until days ahead of the current date.

The calendar feeds will also refresh every 15 minutes, meaning that changes made in Mira will not be seen in the external calendar straight away.

Creating a new feed

  1. Login and navigate to Settings > External Calendar Feeds

  2. Click on "Create New Feed"

    a. Enter a name for your calendar.

    b. Select how far into the past and future you'd like to see appointments from.

The maximum "Days behind" is 30 days and maximum "Days ahead" is 90 days.

    c. If your account has permission to do so, you can optionally choose to sync all business appointments to the feed.

    d. Optionally pick any appointment statuses to filter the feed by. Selecting no statuses will pick all appointments.

    e. Optionally pick any appointment types to filter the feed by.

  3. Click "Create". Your new feed will be displayed in the main feeds dialog.

  4. Copy the feed's unique URL to your external calendar (read below)

Managing and connecting your feeds with external calendars

  1. Clicking on an existing feed will allow you to:

    • Copy URL to your clipboard

    • Refresh your feed token - this will invalidate any existing external calendars which use the current URL. Your external calendars will need to copy the new URL in order to continue fetching appointments from Mira

    • Edit the existing feed settings/filters

    • Delete the existing feed - external calendars which use this feed will no longer be able to fetch appointments from Mira

  2. To connect the feed to an external calendar, copy the URL of the unique feed URL

  3. View the following articles below for steps on connecting your copied feed URL to popular external calendars:
