Understand how each of the different fields work

This article will briefly describe the different types of fields you may use when editing a form.

Multi-select Dropdown

Purpose: Select multiple options from a dropdown menu

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Bullet point style on the generated PDF

  • Toggle displaying all selected answers on the same line on the PDF

  • Enter each of the dropdown options and assign a unique colour to each option

  • Select default options which are selected when generating a new report

  • Toggle displaying all options (including unchecked) options on the PDF

  • Bullet point style for unchecked options on PDF

Checkbox List

Purpose: Select multiple options from a checklist-styled list

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Bullet point style on the generated PDF

  • Toggle displaying all selected answers on the same line on the PDF

  • Enter each of the checkbox list options and assign a unique colour to each option

  • Select default options which are selected when generating a new report

  • Toggle displaying all options (including unchecked) options on the PDF

  • Bullet point style for unchecked options on PDF

Dropdown Menu

Purpose: Select a single option from a dropdown menu

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Enter each of the dropdown options and assign a unique colour to each option

  • Select a default option which is selected when generating a new report

Button Toggle

Purpose: Select a single option from a toggle-button styled list

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Enter each of the toggle options and assign a unique colour to each option

  • Select a default option which is selected when generating a new report

Radio

Purpose: Select a single option from a checklist-styled list

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Enter each of the options and assign a unique colour to each option

  • Select a default option which is selected when generating a new report

Date/Time Picker

Purpose: Select date/time for input

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options:

  • Choose the type of picker (date, time, date+time)

Text Input

Purpose: Generic input of text

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Select a default input value when generating a new report

Email Address

Purpose: Enter an email address

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options: (none)

Phone Number

Purpose: Enter a phone number

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options: (none)

Address

Purpose: Enter an address (either via search or manual input)

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options: (none)

Number

Purpose: Enter a number

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Minimum value

  • Maximum value

  • Decimal places

  • Enter a default number which is prefilled when generating a new report

Slider

Purpose: Enter a number in a slider-styled box

Can have unique identifier: YES

Options:

  • Minimum value

  • Maximum value

  • Slider Increments By (eg: 1, 2, 3... 2, 4, 6... 5, 10, 15)

  • Select a default value which is prefilled when generating a new report

Simple Table

Purpose: Enter rows of data onto a simple grid table

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options:

  • Enter each of the columns which should be displayed on the table

  • Enter default rows of data which are prefilled when generating a new report

Heading

Purpose: Display a heading on the form indented by a number (eg: 1.5 (section 1, heading 5). Cannot be edited when generating report.

Can have unique identifier: NO

Options: (none)

Subheading

Purpose: Display a heading on the form (without heading indentation). Cannot be edited when generating report.

Can have unique identifier: NO

Options: (none)

Text Block

Purpose: Display a slab of text on the form. Cannot be edited when generating report.

Can have unique identifier: NO

Options:

  • Content to display in the block of text. This can include slabs of formatted text, static images, or a table of data.

Image Uploader

Purpose: Allow upload of images to display on the PDF

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options:

  • Select a grid style for images on the generated PDF

  • Toggle displaying images in their full size on the generated PDF

  • Limit the amount of images that can be selected via this uploader

Signature

Purpose: Allow input of signature to display on the PDF

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options:

  • Toggle automatically prefilling the signature of the staff member generating the report

  • Toggle printing a border around the signature on the generated PDF

  • Align the signature to left, center or right on the generated PDF

  • Enter a default signature which is prefilled when generating new reports

Separator

Purpose: Display a separator line or act as a spacer on the form

Can have unique identifier: NO

Options:

  • Toggle between displaying a line or a blank space

Inventory Picker

Purpose: Allow input of business inventory to display on the PDF

Can have unique identifier: NO - Unsupported format

Options:

  • Select columns of inventory data to display on the report. These columns refer to pieces of inventory information such as name, item code, product concentration, active ingredients (etc).

  • Display the selected inventory in table-form on the generated PDF

  • Restrict the amount of selectable inventory for this picker

  • Filter selectable inventory to a specific type (Product, Service)

  • Filter selectable inventory to a specific category (such as only Insecticides)

  • Enter default rows of inventory which are selected when generating new reports
