Updated over a week ago

Monday 5th December 2022

Welcome to our third major release for 2022.

This release continues with our progressive move from Pest Register to Mira.

The Mira logo is now used in most spots throughout the system.

Early next year, we will be switching to Mira completely (including a new website and www domain). We will keep you informed about the finalised switchover date.

We thank you for your continued support and the feedback we've received on the new name! 😊🀩

Notices

  • Icons have been removed from Appointment Types

  • Appointment Type shorthand names are now limited to 10 characters

  • Client and Appointment wizards have been removed and replaced with the more advanced dialog

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issues where dialogs would require a double tap to close on the mobile app

  • Fixed an issue where you couldn't set a custom reminder date when editing reminders

  • Opening the form editor would cause the inventory picker to display on some forms

  • Prefilling client details onto a new appointment will now preference addresses in the following order: Structure -> Primary -> Billing rather than Structure -> Billing -> Primary

  • Fixed an issue where some addresses would say they are invalid for no reason when saving a document

  • Vertical staff schedule would not display all appointment information on the view

  • Searching for clients and appointments would return incorrect results for strings which contained less than 3 characters

Miscellaneous Improvements

  • General usability improvements to the UI

  • We've changed how PDFs are displayed on different devices.

    • Laptop/PC will use the native web browser renderer to display PDFs

    • Phones will require the user to open the PDF in their mobile browser rather than displaying the PDF directly within the Mira app

  • You'll now receive a notification when your subscription to Mira has been renewed

  • Changes to Appointment Types:

    • Appointment Types can be cloned within Settings

    • You can now specify multiple default client/staff reminders

    • Names and shorthand names must now be unique

  • Payment list is now grouped by payment date

External Calendar Feeds (including Android Auto & Apple CarPlay)

This release allows you to display your Mira appointments as a feed in any external calendar which supports the standardised RFC format (including Microsoft Outlook, Google and Apple calendars).

This will allow you to see your upcoming appointments within Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

The appointments are read-only on the external calendar. They must still be modified through Mira.

Any Mira accounts with the set permission can create their own individualised calendar feeds (per account).

Mira appointments will display in the external calendar with any of the specified filters.

Please note that not all appointments will display. The feed will only fetch appointments from the specified days behind until days ahead of the current date.

The calendar feeds will also refresh every 15 minutes, meaning that changes made in Mira will not be seen in the external calendar straight away.

External Calendar Feeds can be created via Settings.

Android Auto / CarPlay / Google/Apple Calendar:

Updated Client Creation

We've made a bunch of improvements to managing your clients:

  • Removed the Client Wizard for creating new clients. Instead you will be prompted with the more advanced dialog with all toggles and options.

  • Client reference numbers are now randomly generated instead of using their first name and last name (only applies to new clients)

  • If your client is set as "Business/Generic", you can choose to use their specified contact name on any documents sent to the client rather than the business/generic name.

  • You can choose to disable sending reminders for each client

  • In Settings > System Defaults > Clients, you can set a default preferred communication method and default reminder behaviour for newly created clients

Updated Appointment Creation

We've made a bunch of improvements to creating new appointments

  • Removed the Appointment Wizard for creating new appointments. Instead you will be prompted with the more advanced dialog with all toggles and options

  • We've updated the design of the appointment creation/edit dialog with a two-pane design, allowing you to see more options at once.

  • On mobile, it will continue to use a more familiar "wizard" design of stepping you through each of the panels for appointment creation

  • If you are a single operator, your staff account will automatically be selected as the staff member of new appointments

Updated Handling of Reminders

When creating client reminders, the reminder will now (by default) automatically prefill the email/mobile directly from the client's profile.

This makes it easier to manage reminders if, for example, the client's email/mobile is changed.

Instead of going through every single appointment and updating the email/mobile to their new value, you'll only have to change the value in the client's profile and every "auto" reminder will be reflected with this change.

(Example below with "Auto" mode)

If you don't want to use the prefilled "auto" value, click on the input box and enter a different email/mobile to set as the value.

Clicking on the input box will also display suggested email/mobile values to use if any exist.

Automatic Payment Reminders

You can now create payment reminders for new invoices

Payment reminders work in a similar fashion to appointment reminders, with the main difference being that they can be sent before or after the invoice due date and will only be sent if the invoice is not fully paid.

For existing invoices which don't have any automatic payment reminders, you can send a manual payment reminder to the client via the Invoice dialog.

In Settings > System Defaults > Accounting, you can also create up to three default payment reminders to set on new invoices.

Custom Appointment Messages

You now have the option to send a custom short message to your client regarding their appointment.

In the Appointment dialog, clicking "Send Message" will give you the option to send a default message (based on the appointment status, as per usual), or alternately send a custom message.

Leave A Review

In Settings > Style & Branding > eCard & Reviews, you can now display text and a link to allow your clients to review your business on an external review platform.

The details you supply can be displayed on:

  • Published reports (within Client Connect and on the email sent to the client)

  • Paid invoices (within Client Connect, the generated PDF and on the email sent to the client)

  • Completed appointments (on the email sent to the client)

(Example email)
